Interior Design is typically thought of as a service only available to luxury homeowners.  Over the past few years, I have encountered some incredible Philadelphia designers whose work is being published in Architectural Digest, Elle Decor and the like.  Some of these fabulous designers you may have heard of or know their work – Mona Ross Berman, Ashli Mizell, Michelle Plachter to name a few. However, there are now some great affordable options for sprucing up your home on a more modest budget.  Here are a few choices to consider:

The HomePolish crew will set you up with a local interior designer that will meet with you in your home for a free consultation. Their services can include furniture selection, art selection, style guidance and interior finishes selection for renovations. Their minimum hourly commitment is 10 hours, and their designer rates start at $140/hr.

Budding interior designers are always looking for real-world experience. Try reaching out to local institutions like Moore College of Art & Design, Temple University or The Community College of Philadelphia and asking if they have a student designers available for hire.
